Educational Programs & School Support
Education Preparation (EduPrep)
Working with libraries, school supplies companies, and schools across the country, Kids Change the World (KCW) provides school supplies, books, scholarship, and other educational resources to students and classrooms in need.
In 2017 and 2018, KCW distributed over 3,500 books and school supplies to students around the world.
In 2015 and 2016, KCW began the U.S.-China Intercultural Exchange to pair students in the U.S. and China together to promote and cultivate mutual understanding across cultures. The program was funded in part by a grant from the U.S. Department of State Bureau of Educational and Cultural Affairs.
In 2014, KCW partnered with FlatRate Moving and other nonprofit organizations to distribute 4,000 thousand books and school supplies to students and hospitalized children. Significant contributions were made to the New York Tri-State area: the New York University Langone Medical Center, Mount Sinai Health System, Bellevue Hospital, and the St. Barnabas Hospital Bronx.
In 2013, Alliance Publishing donated worked with KCW to donate over 130 planners to needy students to help them organize their studies. KCW collected and distributed more than 1,500 children's books.
In 2012, KCW collaborated in a national movement that provided $12,000 worth of school supplies to Title I schools across the country. Three dozen more academic video modules were added to the Education Preparation Database for students and educators around the world.
Beginning in 2009, KCW launched the Educational Resources Database, with over one million hours and 6,000 worksheet pages of primary and secondary school content.
The current Adopt-A-School project (2015-2020) is the Guanghuang Primary School.
With no chance at a solid education, many children are forced to work to help maintain their families who still remain in poverty. Over the years, the cycle continues. Without a formal education, students are not able to be independent in life.
The current elementary school lacks restrooms, a playground, and air conditioning. Kids Change the World is working with a number of organizations and the local government to renovate parts of the old buildings and erect five new classrooms.
